Terms of Service
What your score actually is
A TrueMax score is a measurement of geometry, compared against a reference sample of faces. It says where your proportions sit relative to that sample. That is all it says.
It is not a measure of your worth, your attractiveness to any particular person, your health, or your future. It is not a medical or psychological assessment, and it is not a diagnosis. Beauty is not actually reducible to a number, and anyone claiming otherwise, including anyone quoting a TrueMax score at you, is overstating what a measurement can do.
The reference sample is finite and imperfect, our measurement carries real error, and we publish that error rather than hiding it. Two photos of the same face on the same day can differ by around a point.
Who can use TrueMax
You must be at least 13 to use TrueMax. If you are under 18, some plans and features are not available to you, and by using TrueMax you confirm you have a parent or guardian's permission.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for what happens under your account. Give us accurate information, and tell us if you think someone else has access. You can delete your account from inside the app at any time.
Plans, billing and your right to cancel
- Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance through Stripe, according to the billing period shown in Checkout.
- Where a free trial is offered it runs for 7 days. We collect a payment method at the start, and unless you cancel before the trial ends, the plan renews at its normal price.
- You can cancel at any time, from the customer portal in your account. Cancelling stops future charges; you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- Prices are in US dollars and may change. We will tell you before a change affects a subscription you already hold.
- Where the law where you live gives you a refund or cooling-off right, that right applies and nothing here removes it.
What we do not do
TrueMax gives information about grooming, skin, habits and presentation. It deliberately does not:
- recommend, endorse or plan cosmetic surgery or any other procedure;
- recommend prescription medicines or supplements;
- provide medical, dental, orthodontic or psychological advice.
Anything you read here is general information, not personal advice. A qualified professional knows your situation and we do not. Talk to one before acting on anything health-related, and never delay or disregard professional advice because of something TrueMax showed you.
If you are struggling with how you look
Distress about appearance is common and it is treatable. If measuring your face is making you feel worse rather than more informed, that is a good reason to stop using TrueMax, and a good reason to talk to a doctor or a mental health professional. This is not a disclaimer we are obliged to write, and it is the honest thing to say about a product like this one.
Acceptable use
Use TrueMax on your own face, or on a face whose owner has agreed to it. Do not use it to harass, rank, rate or humiliate anyone. Do not attempt to break, scrape, overload or reverse-engineer the service, and do not resell access to it.
Our content and yours
The TrueMax name, software, measurement engine and reference data are ours. Your photographs remain yours; we claim no ownership of them. We receive a side-profile photograph only when you choose cloud landmark placement or feedback, and receive the selected front and side scan only when a signed-in adult Max member separately consents to a Goal preview. The source photographs are not stored by TrueMax. See our Privacy Policy.
Creator League terms
The Creator League is a separate, application-only promotion programme. You must be at least 18 to apply or participate. Approval is discretionary, does not guarantee a place in a sprint, and does not guarantee income. A participant acts as an independent creator, not as our employee, agent or representative.
- Each sprint shows its exact currency, dates, rate, engagement adjustment, thresholds, per-video and per-creator caps, and total pool before you submit. Those published sprint terms control that sprint.
- Only links submitted to that sprint and approved as genuine TrueMax content count. Final eligible views and engagement are frozen when the sprint closes. Purchased, automated, manipulated, misattributed or otherwise inauthentic activity can be excluded.
- Every submitted post must finish with the rundown's embedded short CTA, the optional official long CTA supplied in Creator Tools, or a custom TrueMax CTA accepted during review, and keep the sprint's campaign hashtag in its public caption until settlement. Connecting a social account proves ownership only. We still review the actual post, CTA and disclosure before its views become eligible.
- If valid earnings exceed the published pool, every eligible creator is reduced by the same pro-rata factor. The system allocates the pool to whole cents and never pays more than the published pool.
- You must follow the platform's advertising and branded-content rules, make any legally required sponsorship disclosure, and avoid misleading claims about TrueMax.
- You keep ownership of your content. For an approved submission, you give TrueMax a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to repost, edit for format and promote that content and your public handle for the sprint and for 12 months afterwards. This licence does not include your private account data or scan photographs.
- Valid frozen earnings are sent to your Stripe balance in the sprint's stated currency, normally within 7 calendar days after close, once your Stripe identity and payout setup is complete. Stripe and your bank may take additional time to move funds to your bank account.
- You are responsible for your own tax, invoices and reporting. TrueMax may retain settlement and transfer records where financial law requires it.
We may pause or remove a creator for fraud, unlawful content, undisclosed promotion, platform manipulation or a material breach of these terms. Ending participation does not erase valid earnings already frozen for an approved submission. If an account has an unsettled League payout, account deletion pauses until support can complete or resolve that payment.
Availability
We provide TrueMax "as is". We work to keep it accurate and available, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its measurements will suit any particular purpose you have in mind.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of TrueMax, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including under consumer protection law where you live.
Ending things
You can stop using TrueMax and delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend or end an account that breaches these terms, and where it is reasonable to do so we will tell you why first.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the date above will change and we will tell you in the app about material changes. These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, without affecting any mandatory protections you have where you live.
